What we do

The Baldock Society aims to provide a united voice on issues affecting the town.

The Committee meets or communicates by email or otherwise on a monthly basis to review planning applications, local consultations and any other matters affecting Baldock. On behalf of the membership, the Committee offers its comments to the relevant authorities where it considers it necessary. Committee meeting minutes are available on the committee meeting minutes page.

From 2017, general members’ meetings will be held once or twice a year. One will be an Annual General Meeting and a second will be held when there are significant developments to communicate to members. Meetings offer the opportunity for members to air their views and to ask the Committee to make representations to the authorities. The meeting(s) will be held in the summer months.

Members are also invited to submit details of local issues they identify on a town monitoring form. In this way, members can be the eyes and ears of the town, and help the Committee identify local issues of importance.
